Dec 13 (Reuters) – Drugmaker Pfizer Inc (PFE.N) stated on Tuesday it is working to enhance supply of its COVID-19 antiviral drug Paxlovid in China in order to guarantee appropriate access to the drug as cases increase in the nation.
“Pfizer is actively working together with all stakeholders to protect a sufficient supply of Paxlovid in China and stays dedicated to satisfying the COVID-19 treatment requirements of clients in China,” the business stated in an emailed declaration.
The drug got conditional approval in China in February. Pfizer signed a handle April for Chinese drugmaker Zhejiang Huahai to produce the drug in mainland China exclusively for clients there.
