Micheál Martin stated in an address to the country last night that the nation would be transferring to Level 5.
The constraints will remain in location up until December 1st, with Mr Martin stating that the success of the procedures might imply Christmas would not be cancelled.
Under level 5, individuals will be asked to remain and operate at house anywhere possible, and to work out within 5km of their house.
