As you explained, the intent of this law was to assist reservists and National Guardsmen like yourself who needed to leave their civilian tasks to release in assistance of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Much of them are taking pay cuts to do this. Therefore it was just reasonable that they got some trainee loan financial obligation relief. There is a recommendation in the law to nationwide emergency situations, and the Biden administration is declaring that while COVID is a nationwide emergency situation and for that reason we have the power to do that
But here’s the important things, Pete. Almost a month and a half back has validation to generally reverse 2 migration policies that President Trump put in location. The Biden administration stated, well, there’s not a COVID emergency situation any longer, so we do not require to have the Title 42 in location or the Remain in Mexico policy. I think we actually should not be shocked by this at all. I indicate, we’ve seen COVID be an emergency situation for one week and not enacted to serve political ends.
