A Louisiana National Guardsman was detained after police officers stated he raped a teenager who was under quarantine for COVID-19
Steffan Mouton, 28, presumably offered alcohol to a group of quarantined ladies registered in the National Guard Youth Difficulty program prior to he pulled among them into a restroom and raped her, St. Gabriel Authorities Chief Kevin Ambeau informed WBRZ
” He didn’t care,” Ambeau stated of Mouton, who was supposedly unvaccinated. “These girls were all favorable with COVID. They were separated from the other cadets.”
The program is a voluntary, “military design” alternative education program for at-risk 16- to 18- year-olds, according to its site.
Mouton apparently offered the women alcohol and returned when they were intoxicated at the National Guard center in Carville, the chief stated. A witness and recuperated proof followed the supposed victim’s story, Ambeau informed the station.
” There was a quarantine and he entered into a dormitory, where they were quarantining and devoted this act,” Ambeau stated. “He didn’t care whether they was favorable or not– damn it, he desired it.”
Mouton is now under quarantine in an Iberville Parish prison on $260,000 bond after he was detained Tuesday on charges of second-degree rape and adding to kid delinquency, prison records reveal.
In a declaration offered to The Post, the National Guard stated it takes claims of abuse or misbehavior seriously.
” The Louisiana National Guard Youth Difficulty Program (YCP) is a voluntary, domestic education program which provides teenagers a chance to alter their future,” the declaration stated. “Our essential top priority is the security and health and wellbeing of our cadets.”
” We, The Youth Difficulty Program, called the St. Gabriel Authorities Department right away upon report of this supposed occurrence,” it went on. “Presently, the examination is on-going and we are dedicated to complying totally with regional police.”
