For the majority of modern history, people residing in America did not need to stress that the president of the United States was trying to get them eliminated. Of course, that all altered with the election of Donald Trump, who invested his last year in workplace actively spreading out COVID-19 and who left Washington with a 400,000- individual body count Instead of doing something about the extremely contagious virus when he was very first alerted about it, Trump firmly insisted on acting like whatever was fine in a (failed) attempt to keep the stock market calm and lied to the general public in spite of being completely familiar with how extremely fatal the coronavirus was, to say nothing about the reality that he invested months mocking masks, cut medical professionals out of the government’s action to a public health crisis, and let his moron son-in-law handle the once-in-a-generation pandemic. Anyhow, now he’s pissed over supposedly not getting adequate credit for the COVID vaccines.
In a worthless– even for him!– declaration dispersed by his comms team– because, as you may remember, he’s completely banned from Twitter– Trump told the public: “I hope everyone keeps in mind when they’re getting the COVID-19(often referred to as the China Infection) Vaccine, that if I wasn’t president, you wouldn’t be getting that gorgeous ‘shot’ for 5 years, at best, and most likely wouldn’t be getting it at all. I hope everybody keeps in mind!”
So, a couple of ideas: (1) You can tell this was determined verbatim based on the run-on sentence, racist aside, description of a vaccine as “ lovely,” and random quote marks. Likewise, the claim that a vaccine would never ever have actually been developed were it not for him, which obviously is not real at all. Did he help things along? Yes, he did Did his administration likewise incorrectly taken credit for the Pfizer vaccine, which they played no role in developing; fail to obtain additional dosages of the drug when they had the possibility; and epically f– k up the distribution of the entire thing? Yes, to all of the above.
More recently, at a crucial moment in the pandemic, it appears he decreased to assist persuade eligible Americans to in fact get the vaccine and assistance move the nation towards herd resistance, most likely because he can’t stand the idea of life going back to typical on Joe Biden‘s watch.
