Protesters outraged over the current COVID-19 measures in Barcelona, Spain took to the streets on Friday and clashed with authorities as they challenged the restrictions.
About 50 demonstrators tossed bricks and fireworks at cops, while some fires were also set on roads.
Previously in the day, about 700 individuals staged a peaceful presentation, with the violence emerging at night.
Spain imposed a state of emergency situation earlier this week to attempt and halt the increase of infections. The state of emergency grants regional authorities the power to restrict flexibility of movement through lockdowns and curfews, with bars and restaurants closed given that mid-October but a brand-new 10 p.m. local time curfew.
