ROME (AP)– Italian authorities will quickly authorize an experiment with “COVID checked” flights from three U.S. airports with the aim of eliminating the needed 14- day quarantine for guests showing up in Italy, Rome’s primary airport stated Thursday.
ADR, which runs Leonardo da Vinci Airport, said that comparable “COVID evaluated” passages were also anticipated to be approved for flights in between the airport and the German cities of Munich and Frankfurt.
In contrast with the ADR declaration, Delta said testing would be threefold: Passengers would be checked up to 72 hours before departure; a quick test would conducted at the airport in Atlanta; and another quick test administered upon arrival in Rome.
