England is braced to go into another national lockdown next week, Boris Johnson has revealed.

The Prime Minister carried out the rigid measures to suppress increasing rates of coronavirus across the country.

Speaking at a Downing Street press conference on Saturday, Mr Johnson said the lockdown will be in force from Thursday, November 5.

It will last for one month until December 2, all of which undergoes Parliamentary approval.

The modification indicates yet another set of coronavirus lockdown limitations to follow.

More than 8 million people, predominantly in the north of England, have actually been living in ‘really high’ coronavirus alert areas.

Greater Manchester moved into the toughest set of restrictions under Tier 3 on Friday, October 16.

Other parts of the country were either in Tier 2 – ‘high alert’ or Tier 1 – ‘medium’.

There would be a ban on meeting in gardens under tier 3

While stores might stay open in the previous three-tier system, including under Tier 3, a national lockdown means just important services can continue.

In Tier 3 it was advised to limit journeys, but now under the nationwide lockdown, there is a ban on non-essential travel.

Like in Tier 3 where restrictions had a four-week sunset clause, the nationwide lockdown will last for a month.
