A 3rd case of COVID-19 at Tecumseth Beeton Elementary School has been reported by the Simcoe County District School Board.

No classrooms have actually been closed as a result of the brand-new case. The board has actually not recognized whether the person is a student or staff member.

In a letter to moms and dads and guardians sent Friday, principal Jennifer Carrick states the school was informed by the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit (SMDHU) that a person had evaluated favorable for the infection.

” The SMDHU has examined and figured out that the person was not in school while infectious and, for that reason, has actually not had any high-risk close contact with any personnel or trainee while at school,” wrote Carrick in the letter.

She adds that the health system has actually determined that there is not an outbreak at the school, as there is very strong evidence that the individuals who evaluated favorable contracted COVID-19 outside of the school.
