The NFL is already dealing with an issue with favorable COVID-19 tests just 3 weeks into the 2020 season.

Week 4 saw two games postponed as a result of players checking favorable for the coronavirus. The Steelers and Titans video game was removed from the week completely after a number of players/staff on Tennessee tested positive for COVID-19

These favorable tests follow earlier cases of COVID-19 we saw from gamers previously in the season. Below, we’ll be tracking which NFL players have reportedly tested favorable for COVID-19 this season. This list will not include players who checked favorable before the start of the routine season.

NFL gamers with COVID-19

Here is the upgraded list of NFL players who have been put on the league’s COVID-19 list after checking positive for the coronavirus:

  • Web Cam Newton, QB, Patriots
  • A.J. Terrell, CB, Falcons
  • Jordan Ta’amu, QB, Chiefs
  • Adam Humphries, WR, Titans
  • Kristian Fulton, CB, Titans
  • Jeffery Simmons, DE, Titans
  • Web Cam Batson, WR, Titans
  • Kamalei Correa, POUND, Titans
  • Tommy Hudson, TE, Titans
  • Beau Brinkley, LS, Titans
  • DaQuan Jones, DL, Titans

Camera Newton, QB, Patriots

Newton will miss out on the Patriots’ Week 4 video game against the Chiefs after checking favorable the Friday night before the game. His favorable test result required the league to reschedule the video game in the future in the week. At the time of his positive test, no other members of the Patriots had actually evaluated favorable. ( UPDATE: ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Oct. 3 that all other Patriots tests returned negative for the virus.)

A.J. Terrell, CB, Falcons

Terrell tested positive prior to Atlanta’s Week 3 game versus the Bears. He was added to the team’s COVID-19/ reserve list and was non-active for that Week 3 video game. He remains on that list and will likely miss Week 4’s match against the Packers.

Terrell was the first player to miss a video game in the 2020 NFL season due to a positive COVID-19 test.

Jordan Ta’amu, QB, Chiefs

While not a member of the active lineup, Ta’amu is a member of the Chiefs’ practice team. As the Kansas City Star notes, Ta’amu “still takes part in team and positional meetings,” which indicates he’s still around the team and its players. No other Chiefs gamer has checked positive, but the combination of Ta’amu’s favorable test and Newton’s required the league the hold off the Week 4 match in between the Patriots and Chiefs.

Titans players

A total of 16 members of the Titans organization has actually now evaluated positive for COVID-19 in the week following their Week 3 game against the Vikings. ESPN reports there have been 8 gamers and 8 group workers who tested positive. The names of the Titans players who evaluated positive have not been released or reported on. The result of the favorable tests required the league to reschedule the Titans’ Week 4 matchup versus the Steelers.
