Joel Pollak: Unlike Democrats, 'Trump Preserved American Flexibility' Throughout Coronavirus Pandemic

President Donald Trump must highlight his preservation of constitutional liberties and liberty throughout the coronavirus outbreak– in contrast to Democrats’ increased centralization of state power, stated Breitbart News Senior Editor-at-Large Joel Pollak during an interview Sunday with Hogan Gidley, the Trump project’s press secretary.
” I ‘d like the president to state this [at the next debate],” remarked Pollak on SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Sunday ” Trump maintained American liberty. He did not produce a new government department. He did not take power away from the states. He did not violate his constitutional authority. He safeguarded religious liberty. He defended the right to put together peacefully– serene demonstrations– and a Democratic administration, as we have actually seen from the states, would have run over those freedoms.”
Pollak reviewed California’s restriction of indoor religious assembly in current months, as decreed by Gov. Gavin Newsom (D).
Pollak stated, “In California, today I went back to my synagogue for morning prayers for the first time this morning in seven months, and it felt amazing, however we couldn’t do it [until now] since of the shutdowns, and there was no reason we couldn’t do it outside and socially distanced.

The pandemic needs to not be utilized as a pretext to deteriorate America’s cultural identity of flexibility, maintained Pollak.
” No matter what we go through with coronavirus, we wish to come out the opposite of it being America, being free,” Pollak mentioned. “I think that’s the most powerful argument, because no one believes Joe Biden would do that.”
Gidley kept in mind Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden’s guarantee to close down the country if “scientists” recommended such a measure in reaction to the coronavirus’s spread.
” I would shut it down.
Pollak continued: “It would be amazing for the president to defend freedom on that debate stage and say, ‘When we come out of this pandemic, we wish to be America. We do not wish to be socialist Europe. We want to be free. We want to have our churches open. We want to preserve our First Change. We want to keep our states, as powerful as they are, to go their own way [and] to be the labs of democracy under a federalist system. We don’t want national requireds. We do not want new federal government departments. We do not wish to be informed what to do.'”
Pollak concluded, “The most crucial thing is freedom. When we come out the other end of this thing, we have to preserve our liberties and our Constitution, and I believe President Trump has actually done an extraordinary job of that.”
The 3rd and final governmental debate is arranged for October 22 at 9: 00 p.m. Eastern and will be moderated by NBC’s Kristen Welker.
Breitbart News Sunday broadcasts survive on SiriusXM Patriot 125 from 7: 00 p.m. to 10: 00 p.m. Eastern.
