In June, Houston was gripped by the coronavirus pandemic– but with an altered kind of the COVID-19 infection which progressed elsewhere on the planet and is known to be much more contagious, a research study has exposed.
The study was initially reported by the Washington Post and looks at virus samples from two different Covid-19 waves in the Houston area throughout the period around June.
The research study found that patients with a particular pressure of the coronavirus contained more virus particles which imply that they were more transmittable.
The anomaly did not appear to make the virus more unsafe or modification clients’ results, according to the study.
