NEW DELHI: In line with World Health Organisation (WHO) recommendation, practically all states and UTs in India are testing more than 140 samples “per day per million population”, the health ministry said, highlighting greater testing on a sustained basis has aided in bringing down the positivity rate. Currently, 6 states and one UT have a less than 5%positivity rate, whereas 22 are below national average, showing the rate of infection spread is being contained in many parts.
