Hopes that the population will become unsusceptible to COVID-19 have been dashed by brand-new research revealing antibodies fall rapidly after recuperating from the disease.
So-called herd resistance has been proposed by some scientists as a much better alternative to lockdowns in dealing with the coronavirus pandemic.
It would need around 50-60% of the population to have security against the virus so it could no longer transfer effectively.
