Airline Companies might be allowed to operate optimum 75 percent of their pre-COVID arranged domestic flights if the passenger numbers continue to remain healthy throughout the next 7-10 days, Civil Air travel Minister Hardeep Singh Puri stated on Thursday.

On June 26, the Ministry of Civil Air travel had actually allowed the airline companies to operate an optimum of 45 percent of their pre-COVID domestic flights.

” Our internal thinking is that we will watch it for another week or 10 days … If the figures (of passengers taking a trip) continue to be healthy, we would open domestic civil aviation to 75 percent of the pre-COVID levels,” Puri stated at a press conference on Thursday.
Scheduled international traveler flights continue to remain suspended in the country given that March 23 due to the pandemic.
Nevertheless, special international flights have been operating under the Vande Bharat Mission because May and under bilateral air bubble pacts signed with various countries since July.
