THAILAND is racing against time to trace contacts after the kingdom reported its first Covid-19 local transmission after 100 days.

Disease Control Department director Dr Sophon Lamsirithawon said public health officials have conducted Covid-19 tests on nearly 200 people who were possibly in contact with the new patient, an inmate at a jail in Bangkok.
