The Garry J. Armstrong Home has been placed on outbreak status after an employee there tested positive for COVID-19, the city’s general manager of community and social services said in a memo to Ottawa city council Monday evening.
Donna Gray also said a second employee at Centre d’accueil Champlain has tested positive. The home remains on outbreak after a positive staff result on Sept. 11, as is the case of the Peter D. Clark centre.
All affected staff are in self-isolation at home, Gray said in the memo.
She said there were no actively positive cases at Carleton Lodge and no residents in the four City of Ottawa long-term care homes are actively positive with COVID-19.
