An increase of 2 420 new Covid-19 infections has brought South Africa’s total infections to 633 015, according to health minister Zweli Mkhize on Thursday.

Deaths from Covid-19 have increased by 174 with a total of 14 563 deaths while recoveries stand at 554 887 with an 88% recovery rate.

3 737 101 total Covid-19 tests have been conducted.

KwaZulu-Natal has reported 39 more deaths since Mkhize’s last report, Gauteng has report 50 more deaths, Eastern Cape has reported 24 more deaths, Free State reported eight more deaths, Western Cape reported 17 more deaths, North West reported nine more deaths and Mpumalanga reported 27 more deaths.
