Bridgend residents who are showing symptoms of Covid-19will be able to get checked at a mobile testing centre from Friday, September25
A walk-in mobile testing centre has been set up at the Bowls Hall parking lot of Bridgend Life Centre, following the county district entering into a regional lockdown on Tuesday September22 due to increasing cases of coronavirus.
It will be available to anyone with symptoms of a heat, new, consistent cough, or a loss or change in their sense of taste or odor.
The center will be open for seven days a week from 9am to 5pm. It will likely remain in place for numerous weeks.
Bridgend County District Council( BCBC) is urging individuals to just get checked if they are revealing symptoms of coronavirus because the testing centre is likely to be extremely busy.
Personnel will be at the centre to make sure individuals are following social distancing and other health and safety guidelines.
As it is a walk-in centre, citizens do not require to schedule a test. They can simply show up. It is a walk-through center just, not a drive-through.

Council leader Huw David stated: “The mobile testing centre has been provided to support locals of Bridgend County District as part of our efforts to stop the spread of Covid-19
” We are anticipating need to be really high, so it is truly important to only go to the test centre if you are displaying symptoms of coronavirus.
Citizens who wish to get evaluated are motivated not to use public transport to access the mobile screening centre.
