Detailed information on how Covid-19 is affecting communities across Ireland is now available on the Government’s Covid-19 Data Hub.
Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly announced that new local information has gone live, with case information now available at a Local Electoral Area level.

“I understand that people really want to know more detailed information about this virus, how it is affecting their communities, and those around the country as a whole,” the minister said.
He added there is a “real desire” for transparency around the virus and its impact.
“Transparency is a key cornerstone of Ireland’s response to this pandemic. At this crucial time, it matters more than ever,” he said.
The Department of Health worked with the Health Protection Surveillance Centre and the Health Service Executive to produce the hub, the minister explained.
Ordnance Survey Ireland, the All-Island Research Observatory and the Central Statistics Office were also involved.
The latest Covid 14-day incidence rate per 100,000 population by LEA shows:
Blanchardstown/Mulhuddart has 189.8 cases
Tallaght Central 175.9
South West Inner City 163
Balbriggan 150.4
Ballymun/Finglas 140
Tallaght South 138.2
Ongar 128.4
Castleknock 123.6
South East Inner City 118.2
Kimmage/Rathmines 116.4
Ballyfermot/Drimnagh 115
Swords 111
The remaining LEAs have fewer than 100 cases per 100,000 population.
There are 166 LEAs in Ireland with an average population of 28,700 (ranging from 9,800 to 63,000).
Each county and city is divided into a number of LEAs. The hub is now reporting at the larger LEA level, rather than at Electoral Division (ED) level which allows data to be reported for the most recent 14-day period, a key indicator of the current status of Covid-19.
