The HSE has said Ireland finished its highest number of tests in a single day the other day.
The health service said 13,080 tests were carried out.
CEO Paul Reid said the average time from doctor’s recommendation to the conclusion of contact tracing is now down to 2.1 days.
He stated the huge majority were returned in “much less than 2 days with 98%of the tests returning unfavorable.
