Individuals in the UK and across the world will be coping with coronavirus for a “very long time” according to leading researchers who were offering evidence to MPs.
Professor Chris Whitty, England’s chief medical officer, protected his guidance to the federal government on taking on the pandemic. He said that mass testing had to be deserted because of capability concerns and likewise defended the timing of lockdown in the UK
