Prof Jason Leitch said there were no current prepare for a local lockdown n Coupar Angus.

National scientific director Prof Jason Leitch said the considerable increase in new cases was to be anticipated.

He said: “Today, we have seen the greatest variety of confirmed cases in a couple of months with more than 100 favorable cases. Around 2 thirds (78) of the new cases have actually been tape-recorded in the Tayside area.

” While the figure may be disconcerting in the beginning glance, this is to be expected as the Test and Secure group continue to strive to check workers at the 2 Siblings factory and recognize their close contacts, following the break out at the Coupar Angus website.

” We know that around 90%of the 78 brand-new cases determined in Tayside today are linked to the break out at the 2 Sis factory and we will likely continue to see these numbers rise in the next few days.”

School contact tracing

Prof Leitch included that it was harder to manage the cases in the NHS Grampian area where erratic clusters, connected to the night-time economy a couple of weeks earlier, were still appearing and were more dispersed in the community.

He said that as the scenario in Coupar Angus was more included, there were no prepare for a local lockdown. He added that whatever was being kept under evaluation.

On the other hand, contact tracers are recognizing students and instructors at a school in Glasgow.

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde confirmed it was dealing with personnel and families connected to John Paul Academy in Summerston.

A health board declaration stated that, at this time, there was “no evidence of transmission within the school itself”.

It included: “Close contacts are being encouraged to self-isolate and being offered proper recommendations and support.

” Robust control measures are in location within the school. Apart from those who are recognized as close contacts, all other pupils and staff can continue to attend as typical.”
