KUALA LUMPUR: The threat of Covid-19 returning with a revenge is real and Malaysians must not let this take place to their cherished nation, said Alliance For Safe Neighborhood chairman Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye.
” Responsible citizenship needs compliance with all standard procedure and all other guidelines governing safety and health of the citizenry,” he said in a declaration here last night.
” We can start using masks now. There is still one week to go before the due date, and it is hoped that all Malaysians will reveal their caring nature by wearing the masks from now in properly,” he said.
Lee was referring to Elder Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob’s statement on Wednesday that the use of face masks in crowded public places and on public transport would be made mandatory from Aug 1.
While inviting the brand-new rule, Lee advised the government to clear some obscurities relating to the definitions of public locations and crowded locations.
” Clear meanings and strict compliance will definitely produce the results that everybody expects, desires and welcomes in our battle against Covid-19,” he said.– Bernama
