SÃO PAULO– Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, among the most prominent world leaders to play down the severity of the coronavirus pandemic, stated Tuesday he tested positive for the virus.
Mr. Bolsonaro, who often appeared in public without a mask until bought last month by a court to wear one, verified to reporters that he has Covid-19 after having actually developed a fever of 100.4 degrees on Monday and other symptoms connected to the illness.
