Brazil has the third-highest number of unique coronavirus cases worldwide, according to main figures released Monday, an unpleasant rise for a country having a hard time to respond to the pandemic.
With 254,220 validated cases, Brazil has actually now gone beyond Britain, Spain and Italy in the past 72 hours on the list of overall infections, and lags only the United States (1.5 million) and Russia (290,000).
Brazil has signed up 16,792 COVID-19 deaths, the sixth-highest toll worldwide.
But professionals state under-testing indicates the genuine figures might be 15 times greater or more.
